On June 20, we started our first day of Vacation Bible School. Our theme this year was Strengeti Trek. Overall, everything went very smoothly, the kids behaved very well, and everything was set up on time. Julia was the worship leader for the first 3 days, then Sulin and Rachel took over because Julia had other business to attend to. On the last day, we did a carnival-like event with different stations. Kids had opportunities to earn stickers so they could get prizes on the last day. The kids were so excited! Good job Vic and Elijah for doing Chadder's theater, Crystal and Rebecca for teaching the lesson, Nancy Rachel and Shen for taking care of the preschoolers, Mr & Mrs.Tsu for doing registration, Angela Mrs.Wang and Kristy for preparing snacks, all the crew leaders for taking care of your kids, the worship leaders, and all the other helpers, could not have done it without you guys!  But most of all, a big thanks to Mrs.Chang and Mrs.Liou for organizing everything!!!!

On July 1, a lot of people went to the MCCA retreat. From the youth group, here's who all went, Jonothan, Yuan, Timmy, Petros, Angela, Rebecca, Andrea, Ryan, Esther, and Bithiah. The little kids who went were Evan, Philip, Eunice, Jason, Victor, Felix, Ann, and a couple of others. We all had soo much fun! The skits were amazing, awesome job Church Halo ! The sermon about "the church" were so good. All the workshops were amazing too. Pastor Sean Ryan mentioned that the purpose of the church is to serve and glorify God, and it doesn't exist primarily to serve people. Pastor Justin Young made a very good point about how Jesus sacrificially committed to the church, Jesus is one with the church (became ONE body). So you really can't love Jesus, but not love his church. Also, Jesus gave himself up for the church, he also cared for, fed, and cleansed the church. The Concert of Worship was amazing, great job cinci college worship team! The Showcase was absolutely fantastic! All the skits were extremely well performed. Team white yellow, Eastside vs Westside, Goldie Locks, Church Halo, Fire Flies (body worship), Body of Christ, SGL dance group, TV, and the Cbus girls..... all were incredible! We all met new people and learned many new things. Can't wait until next year!! Here are some sites with pictures check em out. God Is Good

Sunday July 10, Pastor Bing was the guest English speaker sub-ing for PHouse. He will be with us for the rest of this month because Pastor House is in Taiwan. He is from the Parkside church, and he works mostly with middle schoolers/junior high kids. However, everyone in the english congregation thought he was very funny and was a very motivating speaker! We enjoyed having you Pastor Bing! Come more often!

As of today, everyone on the missions team is now in Taiwan (or on their way). Yay! The missions team includes: Daphne & Ellen Chang, Ian Ho, House family, May and Jean Hsu, Tien-Ti Hsu, Yun Liou, Peter & Rachel & James Liou, Philip Lo, Tony Louie, Sulin Ngo, and Petros Yeung. Please pray for them...... and pray that the heart of everyone they'll be speaking to will open their hearts and come before and accept God.

Pictures will be uploaded soon!

Hi everyone, long time no update...so here's a run down on the most recent events.

First of all I will like to welcome our new youth group helper.....MR. SHERWIN!!! (or as I like to call him, the SHERWINATOR).  He's quite a bball player, and a QB.  He's like an older version of me except better....haha.

Now for some recently happened events.  Well nothing really happened...besides today we had an awesome combined church service which the choir sang.  Representing our youth group in that choir are, Isabel Huang, Amy Lin, and Rachel Liou!!  Rachel did a solo which was extremely awesome.  And much props to Amy and Isabel too cause they were terrific.

This coming Friday is our annual Christmas celebration.  Traditionally, the youth group, which is us, usually have something planned such as a skit.  This year, however, we decided to be rebels and not perform!!  Well, as of now there's nothing planned....but who knows what'll happen this week??

This coming Saturday, the youth group is going over Lisa's house for dinner and games and LOTS OF FUN!!  Lisa will send everyone an e-mail to inform about this event.  That is all for now... UNTIL NEXT TIME!!

*this update was brought to you by Angela, who forced me to update.*

Summer is finally over for some of us, and everyone's going back to school!  It's a new year and new beginnings, where we'll face new challenges and obstacles. But I'm sure everyone will handle them just fine!

Anyhow, some updates as to what the youth group is doing.  Starting in september we're moving the youth group back to meeting on fridays.  And we're gonna start over our study in the "Experiencing God" book.  And every week, we'll rotate a couple of people to help out w/ the AWANA ministry.

Now a recap on what we did in the past....month or 2??  Sssoooooo......we came back from Memphis mission trip, which was a GREAT Experience.  We got to know each other a lot better and God showed us a lot of things that we never could've seen in Cleveland.  Immediately right after we came back from Memphis, we went straight to Amy's grad party.  Which was SUPER FUN! Even though we were tired....but still fun watching people play DDR and stuff.

A couple of week later, Lisa welcomed us to her house for a youth group get together.  And Lyndsey came back to visit too!  We all had a blast playing lots and lots of video games, and ate THE GREATEST DIP U WILL EVER EAT IN YOUR WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!!!....made by Lyndsey.

Just recently, we had an Iron Chef Competition.  Which was great fun, and we got to show off our cooking skills.  Petros, Angela, Ryan and Justin's team beat Yuan, Vic, Jonathan and Rachel's team in a very close one.

Last Saturday, we all went to  Peter, Amy and Ryan's joint grad party.  We ate lots and lots of good food, and yet again played lots and lots and LOTS of video games.  And I'd just want to add that Vic beat Yuan in Madden 05 by 2 TDs, and he beat Jonathan by 1 pt.  Which means Jonathan is a better player.

And that concludes my update.  if anyone has anything else to add just tell me......although I'm not telling you who updates this thing. MWAHAHAHAHA
